Therapy Approaches:
- Cognitive Behavioral - explores thoughts and feelings, how they influence behavior, and builds coping skills - Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral - explores trauma triggers and builds coping skills - Solution Focused - explores current stressors/crisis and builds coping skills to attain person-centered goals - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - reduces stress response by learning to be in the moment and observing thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way - Schema Focused - Connects internalized beliefs and patterns to current behaviors, struggles and relationships Collaborations: I work closely with other practitioners to include psychiatrists and nurse practitioners who are available for consultation and medication management.
